"I'm bored". It's something you've probably heard your kids say a million times and you roll your eyes and wonder how on earth that could be. After all, there's TV, DVD's, Playstation, X-Box, Nintendo, computer, books, board games, music and of course just getting outside and engaging in a physical activity of sorts. Anyway, that's what we tell our kids but here am I sitting at home alone tonight and guess what? Yep, I'm bored.
Ok, it's cold, wet, and windy outside so we can rule that out straight up. I don't want to watch TV, or play video games, or watch a DVD, or surf the net, or read a book, or play my guitar, or call my mum, or catch up with a friend. I don't want to do anything. Why? Because I'M BORED!
Then I had a bright idea. Why don't I write a blog about it? So here it is. I'm still at a loss to explain this feeling of boredom when there are so many options available to me to ensure that I don't go stark raving mad. Is it laziness? Have I been working too hard and I'm tired...but not tired enough to go to bed? I often use this word to describe the feeling....BLAH!
Well, writing this has given me temporary relief at least. I only hope I haven't bored you in the process. Think I'll call it a night.
